HOW it all started
2020
It all began one summer day in Chicago, at a dive bar in Lakeview, Avenue Tavern.
Katie and Caleb, from different corners of the country, crossed paths during a peculiar moment in history — a time you might’ve heard of: Covid.
Both had worked at Avenue Tavern at different points in their lives. Somehow, fate — or maybe just the hospitality industry being messy — brought them back to the same bar, at the same time.
Neither of them expected that their story would kick off simply by clocking in that day.
Fast forward to 2025
On November 15th, Katie and Caleb eloped in Adrian, Texas, at the Midpoint Cafe on Route 66.
Adrian, population 130, sits exactly 999 miles from each of their hometowns — the perfect “Midpoint” between the places that shaped them and the place they chose to start their next chapter.
Their ceremony was small, heartfelt, and surrounded by family.
